Most Hated Phillie
Monday, 03 August 2009 22:15

It’s not easy for me to name my most hated Phillie, because quite frankly I hate all of them.  And in recent years, this page would have been reserved for Pat Burrell.  But with Burrell’s departure there’s a new public enemy, and his name is Shane Victorino.  Its hard for me to say this, but Victorino is everything I love in a baseball player.  He is undersized and scrappy, but he is also fundamentally sound, he plays hard, he is a great defensive player and he has a knack for collecting clutch hits.  He’s the type of guy I would want on my team any day of the week.  But as a Mets fan, he is nothing more than a thorn in my side.  I feel like he always comes up with a big hit and always runs down the tough fly ball.  Plain and simple, I hate him.  And I find it ridiculous that he whines and bitches like a little girl when Jose Reyes hits a home run and points to the sky, and yet he has the nerve to do the same thing in a playoff game.  It was basically a big “fuck you” to the Mets.  At some point in this rivalry there will be a Mets-Phillies brawl, and I hope Jose gets his chance to take a swing at the “Flying Hawaiin”.  What a queer nickname.
