How many times have we seen this face before?  The sad thing is he didn't deserve to lose -- not at all.  Took a no-hitter into the eighth and then made what were largely his two worst pitches of the day.  The fastball you undoubtedly saw on Sportscenter and the other to Scott Hairston.  When things aren't going right, stuff like this is just going to happen.  For the second game in this series the Phillies staged a ninth inning comeback that petered off just when things got serious.  No breaks for the bad and that's just how the Phillies are playing of late.  I personally have got to take some of the blame.  As soon as my blogging slowed down with all the summer work I've got, the Phillies started dying off.  Never fear, I'm back -- let's get it going full-time around here around here again -- the team needs it.

Rundown of the days rejects:

Hitless:  Utley, Werth, Ruiz, Valdez

Uselss:  Baez

One more note on the rejects, Jayson Werth looks hopeless in back to back days against Heath Bell.  That 96 at the belt, he just can't hit right now.  One of these days, Alice, Jayson Werth is going to get some hits.
