Welcome to everyone’s favorite feature here at We’re the Team to Beat (even though this is the first post, ehh whatever).  Mets Suck Monday!

Mets suck fact of the day:

Bobby Parnell throws 100 mph and can’t get anyone out.  And yes, that’s Chase Utley jogging around in the background after his extra-inning home run.  And yes, I used this picture the day it happened. And yes…

Mets Suck!

The Phillies have now lost 8 of 10 games and stand at 36-31.  This was the losing streak we needed to get back into contention.  However, the Amazin's have failed to capitalize on this recent downfall by losing 2 out of 3 to the Tampa Bay Rays and are a lonely game over .500. Rays Mets Baseball What's the deal?  Now Beltran is hurt with his knee and the Mets can't seem to catch a break with their big hitters.  First Delgado, then Reyes, now Beltran is hurting with an ice cold David Wright at the plate. Wright can ill-afford to have one of those cold streaks, but it looks like we're in one right now.  After his 3 for 5 effort tonight, Wright now has only 4 hits in his last 22 at bats.  With Beltran possible sitting, someone needs to heat up and Wright is the obvious candidate to carry the load.  This however may be too much to overcome and like Jerry said a few days, we need to hold the fort until the big guns get back or a trade is made to upgrade this offense.  Things aren't looking too pretty especially with Phat Albert coming to town with the Cardinals and the Yanks over the weekend.

Since we've moved, everybody is going to have to update their favorites and feeds.  I know we're still at the same domain, but I'm pretty sure it all needs updating again.  Sorry for the inconvenience.  I promise it will lead to bigger and better things for all things Phillies.  The Mets on the other hand, things will always be terrible.
